One of many railside towns located along the CPR, Benny was a mill town for lumber companies until there was no more lumber. The town lasted until the 1930s. While it lasted, Benny supported a church, a store, three boarding houses, and a poolroom for the inhabitants of two dozen houses. Only a few of the original cabins remain.
