From Turbine take the High Falls Road. REMAINS: A few foufations |
As pur was adden from turbine to high falls in 1904 to build a hydro plant for inco. The site was constructed and in service by late fall of 1905. A small town grew up to service the small company town, containing modern homes, water, and electricity. With a post office and small store, the village was self sufficient. A school was even added in the 1950's. Yet by the late 60's most had left and the townsite was gradually trimmed down. In the early 70's only five vacant buiding remained, and the last stood until 1981. Submitted by: Yvan P.Charbonneau |
