The Pamour town site was established in 1930's for key members of staff and personnel, though the gold mine was established since the early 1910's.35 homes were constructed counting nearly 200 hundred residents with their families and a post office (1936-73). The mine shaft was abanndonned for the great open pit project, which realigned the Hwy. One day the silent shaft, minning buildings and town site will all be in the pit one day.
