REMAINS: The only physical evidence of Redgrave is the cemetery where local inhabitants have gathered stones into a common foundation that supports a plaque to commemorate those who settled in this long vanished hamlet. |
| A neighbor to Newbridge, Redgrave
has all but vanished. It was never more than a crossroads hamlet on the
road between Wingham and Mount Forest. A post office opened in 1888, relatively
late even for this region, and closed in 1913—a span of only 25 years.
