Take a canoe. REMAINS: A few buildings. |
Not much is left of Redwater, but what is left is very photogenic. As a railside village, it began as a station and section community of more than a dozen houses with a bunkhouse and store. Redwater Lake was the site of a sawmill that lasted until the late 1920s. Although the site can be reached by walking along the railroad tracks, it’s easier as safer to take a canoe across the lake to the ghost town of Redwater. There were three others that burned down 3 years ago. This was built around 1920, it is now a hunting/fishing camp. We use it about 10-15 times a year. Courtesy Deryk Briscoe |
