REDWATER

NAME: Redwater
COUNTY: --
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 1
CLIMATE: Snow in Winter, Warm Summer.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Summer
COMMENTS: Take a canoe.
REMAINS: A few buildings.
Not much is left of Redwater, but what is left is very photogenic. As a railside village, it began as a station and section community of more than a dozen houses with a bunkhouse and store. Redwater Lake was the site of a sawmill that lasted until the late 1920s. Although the site can be reached by walking along the railroad tracks, it’s easier as safer to take a canoe across the lake to the ghost town of Redwater. Submitted by: Henry Chenoweth
This is a picture of Redwater, Ontario. This was taken about
2 years ago. This is now the last original building still standing in the area. There were three others that burned
down 3 years ago. This was built around 1920, it is now a hunting/fishing camp. We use it about 10-15 times a year.
