The Moose Mountain mined opened in 1900, and slowly produced iron until the CNOR, pushed its terminus to Sellwood (from Toronto), and a spur and harbour completed at Key Harbour. This was finally done in 1909 and the place suffered an incredible boom. A town of 1500 came to establish itself here. Containin a large School, 2 churches, the Warren Hotel, bowling alley, post office (1909-1926)large station, ~100 homes, bukhouses, a vibrant business district, and a sizeable Warren Sawmill, the town also contained all modern convieniances, such as tele, sewers, phones, electricity, and running water. Yet the mine closed in 1916, and the town slowly dwindled to nothing by 1928.A newr mine on the site from 1957-79 obliterated any taces, except the cemetary, which is lost somewhere in the woods.
