COMMENTS:
REMAINS: Only one original structure remains on what was once the main street that is now a residential lane. |
Although Sinclairville was once a thriving pioneer community that supported a steam sawmill, a shingle mill, several stores, two blacksmith shops, two hotels, it is today a quite rural community. The present brick church replaced the original church in 1908 that served Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian worshippers. Like so many other early communities, Sinclairville was bypassed by the railroads that limited its growth of new industries. |
