Begun in th 1890 as a small farming settlement a cluster of homes established at the track, containing a post office (1905-59, store, and school. thea CPR had a proper station, and spurr to High Falls hydro plant a few miles away. The AER also pushed a line around 1912 and added a water tower and flag station. By the fifties there were still 54 residents scattering the area.
