Off Beauchene Rd. at km17 (logging road. Turn right at the second trail and continue for another 12 km. (At crossing) REMAINS: Siding timbers, station foundation, 5 farm homes, celars, and foundations. |
Begun as a small farming and lumbering centre, the village grew near the siding, where a few homes clustered the siding. While the sawmill stood in between the tracks and Snake Creek. It also contained a store, school, post office (no in official records though) as well as 130 permanent residences. The mill shut down in the 40's and most farms were abandonned.
