NAME: Frisco COUNTY: Mohave ROADS: 2WD LEGAL INFO: T21N, R20W CLIMATE: Warm winter, hot summer BEST TIME TO VISIT: Winter, fall |
COMMENTS:
One of the only towns with no
saloons. REMAINS: Nothing; the site has been completely demolished as a result of gravel and mining operations. |
Frisco's post office was established May 5, 1913 and discontinued July 15, 1915. Located in 1894, the Frisco gold mine wound up traversing main street. The town had about 150 residents and oddly enough, had no saloons. Most of the miners were married which might have been a reason. |
