COMMENTS: Five miles south of Palace Station on the Senator highway.
REMAINS: Nothing but a few sparse foundations.

Named after the first governor to serve Arizona territory, John N. Goodwin, Goodwin came into existence in 1882 when the Nonsuch Mining company of Philadelphia bought the Goodwin mine. A mill and smelter were erected and a stage station, hotel and store opened here as a supply center for the mines in the area for the next half a century.
