COMMENTS: We went to Lake Shasta in summer of 1999. We rented a house boat and while exploring lake Shasta we discovered the Bully Hill on Squaw Creek ghost town. There are still remains of old cars, houses etc. They said part of it is under water. We have pictures of it but it is on video. I could send it to you but you have to tell me how to do it.Let me know if you have any books on this. I'm very much interested on what ever happened to this town during those years.

1905 & 1925 As copper mining developed along the canyon. The mining at Bully Hill on Squaw Creek remains can still be seen. Submitted by: Eleanor Johnson

Bully Hill is actually the name of the Mine and smelting plant located on the Shore of Shasta Lake on the Squaw Creek arm of the lake. The town that it was associated with is in fact called Delamar. The town, which is now under Shasta Lake, was named for the man who owned the mine and the smelting plant. Submitted by Timothy D. Osborn
