COMMENTS: Current pop.2. From ione go north on state highway 104, right on ione-michigan bar road, right on carbondale road, aprox 1 mile to school house on right. REMAINS: Only one original building left, was used as a school house, red in color. It's falling down now

Large supply town, larger than sacremento durring the gold rush. A brick maker, saloons, a large hotel, and a train station. The post office was at a private residents, some two miles from where the town was, in the 1940's. Submitted by: Don Randolph
