The Banker Mine was located by Fred Aude and Godfried King - 8 claims in all. The tunnel was started in the late 1890's and patented in 1906. Most of the development was in one big tunnel 3,700 feet long, at one time well equipped with two 100 horse power boilers, a large compressor, machine drills, etc. The two buildings you saw were bunk house and office building. By 1917 there was a great deal of water in the mine and the air was bad. Ore was shipped containing silver and lead from 1910 - 1927.
