| Not much is known about Bowman. The sign says population was 100 and the town lived from 1879 to 1916. It is one of the oldest camps in the Taylor Park area and the last camp before heading over Taylor Pass into Aspen. It was a main stop on the stage route from St. Elmo to Aspen and was often clogged by snow and rock slides. The population was about 100 through the 1880's. |
