Osier was a railroad town on Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, San Juan Branch. The town contained a Depot, section house, bunk houses, a coaling platform, a water tower, a turntable, and RR sidings. Many of the structures still exist except the turntable. It is near the Rock Tunnel at the Toltec Gorge. During its peak it had several hundred residents, a post office, and a saloon. The D&RG RR operated this branch during the years 1880-1967. Submitted by: Douglas Matthes
