COMMENTS: From Jefferson, Colorado take US-285 south 6.6 miles take right on Boreas Pass Rd (CR-33) go 0.3 bear left on 9th st. go 0.1 mile turn right onto Rowe st. go 0.2 mile turn right on Broadway (CR-33) go 0.6 mile bear right to follow CR-33 go 2.7 miles turn right on CR-801, NF-404, CR-33 go 0.1 mile REMAINS: A few log cabins, the road is where the railroad went through |
Peabody’s was a train station first called Tarryall. It had a wye and a nineteen car spur. It had many train wrecks in the area including a freight train, train full of logs, and a passenger train. Many lives were lost in the area due to these accidents. Submitted by Jim Montoya |
