COMMENTS:
. Located about half way between Vicksburg and Winfield. When I made this
trip, I 4x4'd up a rugged road across Clear Creek (use caution in spring,
as Clear Creek often runs quite deep in this crossing with spring run-off)
and up the road about 2.8 miles to Clohesy Lake where a fish hatchery was
operated in 1884. REMAINS: A few cabins and a fish hatchery. |
