College Hill was a tiny community of residents who made their living first from srawberrys and then from citrus. The College Hill School is a four room "Strawberry School". "Strawberry Schools" were very popular in the early part of the 1900's because they held session in line with the harvesting and the planting of the strawberry season. The school land was donated in 1916 and the school opened in 1921. All that remains of the era of the old town is the school, the store, and a few farm houses. Submitted by: Mike Woodfin
