Take HWY 61 to the Caves Road just north of Maquoketa. Follow the caves road to 150th St. about 1 mile past the caves. When you get to the Maquoketa River you are there. The town was located just east of the bridge. REMAINS: Just the bridge |
Crabtown was a small settlement which is named for the Crab family. It had a small population from the mid 1800's till about the turn of the century. If you walk around with a metal detector you might find some artifacts. Submitted by: Joe |
