Currenty, just farm ground and one sign "indianapolis..." with a brief history as well as a cemetary REMAINS: Cornfields and the one sign |
Platted in 1865 by willis baker (my great, great, great grandfather). It was the home of the indianapolis first christian church which closed in 1978. That was the last structure to remain standing. Used to be a school where my grandpa attended, a general store which became our family's barn, and several blacksmith shops. It's demise was the railroad running through what cheer just four miles east. Submitted by: Krissy Giovannini |
