COMMENTS:
About two miles southwest of Colo. There are no remains, and there hasn't been for many years. The town site is a field. The area is actually quite pretty. REMAINS: No remains. |
New Albany was the original town in New Albany township before Colo. As you can guess, New Albany township is named after the town. In its day, it wasn't a very large town. I suspect that it died because it did not have much of an important significance economically. There were no railroad tracks or major businesses. Shortly after the town died, Colo was founded.
