BOULDER BASIN

NAME: Boulder Basin
COUNTY: Blaine
ROADS: 4WD
GRID: 7
CLIMATE: Cool winter/snow and summer.
BEST TIME TO VISIT:
Fall, Spring, Summer.
COMMENTS: Well worth the trip.
REMAINS: Many original remnants

Boulder Basin is one of the truly rugged but most beautiful spots in Idaho. It offers jagged rock ridges, tumbling white water, and clear alpine lakes. There are a number of old cabins scattered here and there around the Basin as well as the old mill at the Golden Glow Mine. The tunnels and diggings of the early miners can be seen high up on the rocky ridges of the basin. The road in is four-wheel territory only but the beauty of the Basin is well worth the trip.
