COMMENTS:
Concord, Callender and Hump
town were all mining towns in the Buffalo Hump Mining District
of Idaho County, Idaho. There are few old remains. The area is
now surrounded on three sides by wilderness. Site is accessed from
Elk City via Orogrande. The last few miles of the road are really
rough. REMAINS: There are only a few remains in the area. |
Mining occurred in this area for a number of years around the turn of the century. There was a limited amount of production from the area. Mines in the area included the Jumbo and Big Buffalo. Submitted by: Sharon Murray |
