Nothing left. REMAINS: Nothing. |
Silver was discovered in 1875 along Brownlee
Creek by Jim Ruth and Tom Heath, hence the names of the two communities.
They freighted in a small stamp mill to grind the ore and, in
time, Heath became the larger of the two towns and was awarded
the post office. Heath also had a smelter that no longer exists
today. Very little remains in either town to mark their existence. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth. |
