Washington Basin - Idaho Ghost Town

COMMENTS: A neat site.
REMAINS: Many remains in the area.

Aside from the numerous mines in Washington Basin, it is the beautiful mountain scenery that makes the basin worthy of a visit. The landscape is some of Idaho’s prettiest. The road into the basin is at best a pickup truck road and a four-wheel drive road at its worst. One cannot help but wonder how boilers and other heavy equipment ever made it into such a remote area.
