COMMENTS: This small town was originated as a home for coal miners for the local mines and then developed as an underground spring was discovered. The population slowly diminished over time as the surrounding towns became more popular and the coal mining industry fell out of favor. REMAINS: A large valley, an abandoned house

The town originated in 1856 reached it peak in 1873 and then began a steep decline. The town was ridden by poverty and sickness as people fought to keep their famlies together as their main source of income fell out of favor within the boundries of the area. Submitted by: Kevin
