Founded in 1871, Bunker Hill served as the County Seat for Russell County between 1872 and 1874. It reached it's peak population of about 300 in 1930. It's located in what was Dust Bowl territory during the 1930s and has been losing population ever since. There were 95 residents at the 2010 census. Submitted by: Diddley Squat |
