COMMENTS: Fosterville is located under now what is called the El Dorado Lake. The cementery was moved northeast of the lake in the early 80's to what is called the Chelsea cememtery. REMAINS: The cemetery is the only remains of what once was Fosterville

Early Fosterville residence were responsible for saving the lives of hundreds. After a drought and during a bitter cold winter the men of Fosterville went west and killed buffalo.
