COMMENTS: 27th & Sewell, Kansas City, KS. Remains of town are curently a heavily guarded private archaeological site. Founded 1856 of mostly free-state fugitives. Named for Quindaro Guthrie (female Wyandotte Indian). High population of 500 in 1910.
