COMMENTS: This town started in reno co,when the rail road came thru (187?) they moved it west appox.6 miles.The old zenith was renamed syliva. REMAINS: The old school house and a few homes

The postoffice was started in 1873 in the location of syliva, then moved to the present location. The town hit its stride in the early 1900s when oil was discovered. The town had a population of 1800 to 2000 the town had 5 saloons, & ?? gambling houses. The crime got so bad they hired a marshal that carried a shotgun as he made his rounds.
