Once a thriving mill town located on Capps Creek in SW Missouri (south of Pierce City), the community was obliterated by the "Baldknobbers" after the Civil War. Using the torch, the "Baldknobbers" burned almost every building in the area. Left standing are the mill (Jolly Mill) and a church. Jolly Mill is now a park and is a great place for trout fishing, swimming, and a picnic. Submitted by: John Getchell
