This town was a mining town surrounded by caves. The mining company showed a profit yearly until 1888. The supply of guano was exhausted, and intense search for marble and lead started. In 1889 the guano had been removed.Miners lost their jobs and moved. Marmaros was now a ghost town. Submitted by: Clinton
