The St. Louis Arch is the largest man-made monument in the world, towering 630 feet. Completed in 1968, visitors can take a tram to the top of the arch for the spectacular view that can extend 30 miles on a clear day. They can also visit a historical museum below the arch detailing Missouri frontier history. Special events are held throughout the year at the arch, especially during the summer hours. |

Exhibits include artifacts from Jesse's grave when he was exhumbed in 1995 for DNA tests. Those results showed a 99.7% certainty that it was Jesse James who was shot in St. Joseph in 1882. |
