COMMENTS: From the south: take I-15 north, take Dillion exit Hwy. # 41,to
HWY 287,55 miles from Dillion.
Its right on the Hwy. In back
of Hotel is a two-story outhouse.
Lots of old buildings used in
westerns(Sacketts,White Buffalo etc.)
3 miles down road is Virginia City.
REMAINS: Dozens of buildings intact, Equipment etc.

Built in th 1860's. Known for the westerns filmed there Hotel,Museum, Many other furnished businesses there. Residents maybe 6.
Air has low humidity. One can pan for gold and garnets in Alder,which is between the two
towns.

One of the few remaining two-story outhouses is attached to the rear of the
Hotel. It is built with an offset -- the deposits made at the top level would
pass behind the person at the bottom level. First visit for a person would be
a little scary. It is not in use today.
