According to family lore, my grandfather, Andrew Jackson Baker, founded a small town in the extreme south east corner of North Dakota, and the town was called "Baker". I do not know when he did this but I used to find the town on old maps in the 1930s & '40s, then all at once "Baker" no longer appeared. It may only have been a country store or something like that. There is now a major highway in that area so maybe "Baker" was eaten up by that construction, or whatever. The town must have been founded in the 1920s or earlier because Andrew Jackson Baker died in the early 1930s. I would enjoy knowing more about this town, but without any doubt it did exist because I saw it many times on older maps. William H. Baker Submitted by: William H. Baker
