In 1907, the railroad established an agricultural town called Wolf Butte, later renamed to Dolan, and finally renamed Bucyrus after a steam shovel that was sitting nearby when they were trying to think of a name. A post office was opened in 1908 and by 1930 there were 124 residents. Today there are still about 20 people left. |
