This town was established in the 1860s. It was named after Albert and Martha Fry McPherson who founded it and owned and operated the Doctor's office there. James M Fry operated the general/ grocery store. There was a 2 room school house tore down in the 1990s and a post office that was discontinued in the 1960s At its height it had a population of 220.
