On November 1, 1891, a church was organized by the German settlers. It was built in 1899. One year later it was destroyed by a violent windstorm. A new church was immediately built, and in 1909 they built a parsonage. The school was the fourth shool organized in the Plainview area. The building was moved a total of two times until a new school was built. The Eden Valley School was permanently closed in 1963. In 1927, Eden Valley organized a band. The band continued to play through the depression years. The band was wanted to play in many places and was always successful wherever they played.
