Roscoe is on US30, about 7 mi east of Ogallala; Roscoe still has a few residents, so it is technically a semi-ghost town. REMAINS: Numerous abandoned buildings (stores and houses) |
| Roscoe owes its existence to the South Platte River: it was a convenient crossing point during the days of the Oregon Trail (in the 19th century); it was not the best or most favored crossing point, however.
