In the 40's movies were shown every Friday night in summer on the side of the now abandoned or non existant service station. At it's height there were no more than 50 residents of wee town Submitted by: Mathew Hanke

 I lived at Wee Town, Nebraska over 40 years ago. It was comprised of two houses and a service station and tavern with an attached cafe that also sold a few groceries. The "population" never exceeded two families, but at one point, that meant almost 15 people. My father ran the service station in the late 1960s. Its heyday was in the 40s and 50s, but it was busy into the 70s, a popular stop along Highway 81 for travelers as well as individuals and families in the area.
