Grafton was a mining town started in the early 1880s. In 1883, it had 75 houses and was one of the most important camps in the Apache Mining District. It had its own school in 1884 and peaked at about 300 people. By 1892, however, it had only about 15 houses and 20 people. Today, a few abandoned buildings. Courtesy Michael Cook. |
