COMMENTS: A beautiful old farming and logging village nestled in the foothills of the manzanitas. Has a very picturesque church. Take nm 217 south from old 66 turn right at juan tomas rd. About 2 miles, just past where the pavement ends. REMAINS: A few old houses and buildings. One house and the old church have been restored and are private residences

Farming and logging town abandoned in the early 1960's. Mostly from lack of water. My brother-in-laws grandfather was one of the last residents and left in the early '60's. The church is on private land but can be seen from the gate. Submitted by: Bob keyler
