Mccarty. Trading community on acoma indian reservation on us 66, 13 mi se of grants. Named for the contractor whose camp was here when at&sf rr was built throuogh this section. Just above the settlement, is a beaufiful church recently built by the indians, which is an exact replica, half size, of the ancient chruch of old acoma. Its wood carvings are notable works of art.
