COMMENTS: Mesa.Spanish for Table, or tableland. In general use by New Mexicans in describing locations and the name is used no less than 19 times in my reference book to name a town.Mesa, in this instance is just 10 miles west of Floyd and should be pretty easy to locate by inquiry. REMAINS: None
