PAAKO RUINS. tThe ruined houses of ancient Tiwa settlement in Paako State Monument. They were constructed of stone rubble and were two stories in height. Adolphe Bandelier writes that they were inhabited as late as 1626, but abandoned before 1670. Submitted by: Samuel W McWhorter
