Painter. Postoffice established October 7, 1908 and discontinued november 3, 1912.The first postmaster was William A. Painter. The initial A was for Ambrosia. Yep, WilliamAmbrosia Painter, Postmaster. Just made it through the drought. If they could have hung on for a few more months, maybe they could have made it. The drought was over in 1912.
