| PARAJE. (Socorro County.) Post office 1867/1910. Mail to Milligan.PARAJE. (Valencia County.) Laguna Indian Village, 3 mi W of New Laguna; land irrigated from San Jose Creek. PAJARE de FRAY CRISTOBAL. Locality or camping place on the Rio Grande near the present San Marcial. This was the last stopping place for water at N end of Jornada del Muerto. Name is that of Fray Cristobal Salazar, a Franciscan who came with Onate and was later notary at the trial of Villagra, the poet and chronicler of Onates expedition.
