TIPTON. On Salidita Creek, 6 mi S of San Jon.TIPTON. Mora County. At one time a small town with a post office 2 mi N of Watrous, in John Scolly Land Grant. Named for the tipton family which was one of the first to settle here. Now part of a very large ranch. Mora river runs through the property and US 85 passes a short distance E.
