1st known as gold pit after gold was discovered in 1906 it was later changed to buckskin. The general public had feelings that this would be a major camp. Buckskin developed a post office, saloons, telephone and telegraph service and stage service. Things slowed after 1908 and by 1910 all that remained was a post office.
